Can we bring our children?
While we love your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding celebration an adults-only occasion. This allows all our guests to relax and enjoy the evening.
What if my invitation only mentions the reception?
We are thrilled to have you join us for our evening reception celebration! Due to ceremony venue restrictions and space limitations, we are unable to accommodate all guests at both events. We look forward to dancing, dining, and celebrating with you at the reception.
Can I bring a plus one?
Due to limited venue capacity, we can only accommodate those guests specifically named on the invitation. If your invitation includes "and Guest," you are welcome to bring a plus-one. Unsure if you received a plus-one? Please check the RSVP tab where all invited guests are listed by name.
Where should I park?
The reception will be held at the Civic Theatre. While there is a paid parking lot available across the street from the venue, parking in the area is limited. For your convenience and peace of mind, we strongly recommend using ride-sharing services like Uber or Lyft to get to and from the celebration.
Where should I stay?
We have secured special discounted room blocks at several hotels for our wedding weekend. To view the complete list of hotel options and book using our rates, please visit the "Where to Stay" tab. Please note that our wedding weekend coincides with French Quarter Festival, so hotel rates throughout the city will be higher than usual. We strongly encourage you to book your accommodations as soon as possible using our room block rates to secure the best pricing and ensure availability.
Will this be an unplugged ceremony?
Yes - please turn off your phones and put away all cameras during the ceremony. Our photographer will capture this special moment, and we'll share the professional photos with everyone. You're welcome to take as many photos as you'd like during the reception and second line!
What should I wear?
We're celebrating in cocktail attire! For women, this typically means cocktail dresses, dressy separates, or elegant jumpsuits at or above knee length (but any length will work). For men, this means a suit or blazer with dress pants, dress shirt, and tie. Jeans are not appropriate for this event. Please refrain from wearing white, cream, or ivory.
Here's the fun part - we'll be having a traditional New Orleans second line parade during the reception! While we encourage you to wear your fancy shoes for photos, consider bringing or wearing comfortable shoes for dancing and the parade. The second line will take place on paved streets, but you'll want shoes you can move in. We recommend bringing a pair of flats or dressy sneakers to change into.
Should I be prepared for the weather?
April in New Orleans is typically beautiful but can be unpredictable. Average temperatures range from the mid-60s to mid-70s Fahrenheit, though evenings can be cooler. While both venues are climate-controlled, we will be outside for the second line parade (approximately 20 minutes). There's always a chance of rain in New Orleans, so we recommend checking the forecast before traveling.
